How it All Began

Leaders and advocates from across Tulsa formed the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition to address teen pregnancy prevention in Tulsa and launch the Campaign.

2013

The Tulsa Campaign began its work in May 2013, with the hiring of Kim Schutz, Executive Director.

In October 2013, the Campaign began its pilot with Tulsa Public Schools, launching evidenced-based sex education in area schools.

November 2013 saw the formal launch of the campaign followed immediately by the hiring of the Campaign’s Director of Education and Director of Health Center Capacity Building. The Campaign continues to expand its reach in local schools, community organizations and faith-based institutions.
