A native of Oklahoma, Sharla has over 25 years of non-profit executive experience specializing in executive leadership, board development, fund-development public speaking, legislative work and advocacy. Prior to joining the Tulsa Campaign, Sharla was the CEO of the statewide Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma agency. She has held several leadership fund-development positions in organizations across the state including Philbrook Museum of Art and Oklahoma City Museum of Art. She is committed to improving the lives of young people in our state and tapping into their potential by bringing both public and private entities together to create viable solutions and opportunities for our youth.

Heather Duvall has over 13 years of experience in non-profit management, talent development, higher education, and adolescent health and development. She has a variety of professional experiences including teen pregnancy prevention with the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy, as a faculty member at the University of Central Oklahoma, and most recently on the learning and performance team at CAP Tulsa. Ms. Duvall received her Master’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma in Interpersonal and Family Communication and her Bachelor’s Degree from Oklahoma State University.

Janet W. Walker joins Tulsa Campaign from her most recent position at The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges. A native Tulsan, Janet has 20 years of non-profit service. Highlights include: cultivating and sustaining relationships with donors; authoring grant proposals and managing grant compliance; supervising branch offices and directing the development of emerging offices; and supervising volunteer recruitment and management. Previous leadership roles include: Director of Development, Eastern Region for Big Brothers Big Sisters of OK; Development Manager for Philbrook Museum of Art; Assistant Director for Tulsa C.A.R.E.S.; and Senior Director-Administrative Services for American Red Cross, Tulsa Area Chapter. Janet holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A, both from the University of Tulsa, where she serves as an M.B.A. student mentor.

Jessica Beare is a creative and highly motivated advocate for young adults. She believes that everyone has the right to comprehensive reproductive health care, including youth. Before joining the campaign, Jessica worked as a Family Life and Sexuality Education specialist with the Carrera Program and as the Teen Primary Pregnancy Prevention Program Advisor for three major schools in Chicago. Jessica received her Bachelor’s degree at Central Michigan University in Public Health Promotion and Community Education and minored in Family Life and Human Sexuality.
